ODVA 2012 Industry Conference Scheduled

ODVA today announced the 2012 Industry Conference and 15th Annual Meeting will be held from Tuesday, Oct. 16, to Thursday, Oct. 18, at the Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort in Stone Mountain, Ga., near Atlanta. Conference attendees can anticipate technical presentations, workshops and networking events that will focus on improving the usage of information and communication technologies in industrial automation.

ODVA today announced the 2012 Industry Conference and 15th Annual Meeting will be held from Tuesday, Oct. 16, to Thursday, Oct. 18, at the Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort in Stone Mountain, Ga., near Atlanta. Conference attendees can anticipate technical presentations, workshops and networking events that will focus on improving the usage of information and communication technologies in industrial automation.

The Industry Conference and Annual Meeting is open to both members and nonmembers,  and is attended by  automation suppliers, OEMs and end users who come to learn the latest business and technical trends in ODVA technologies, including EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, CompoNet and ControlNet networks. Attendees can choose to arrive early to attend Monday's EtherNet/IP Implementor Workshop, a collaborative forum to discuss best practices in the implementation of EtherNet/IP. The annual meeting will include keynote speakers on security, energy optimization and determinism.

“ODVA strives to help ensure the prosperity of our members and the industrial automation industry through open, interoperable communications technologies,” said Katherine Voss, executive director, ODVA. “Attendees will benefit from continued learning and discussions on issues, solutions and technological trends and advances.”
