Opto22: RTD Temperature Sensing I/O Module

March 8, 2012
The SNAP-AIRTD-1K is a two-channel, isolated analog input module for use with 1000 ohm platinum resistance temperature detectors (RTDs).

The nominal input temperature range is -200 to +850º C (-328 to +1562ºF) and the input range is 0-4000 ohms. The module has an average resolution of 0.042ºC (0.16 ohms). Accuracy is 0.8 °C from the factory and 0.6ºC after setting gain and offset. Used primarily with RTD probes to provide temperature inputs, the module can also be used for making high-resolution resistance measurements. Lead compensation is automatic when the modules are used with the company’s SNAP brain units. DC common-mode rejection is greater than 120 dB and AC common-mode rejection is greater than 120 dB at 60 Hz.
