Advantech Introduces Seven Slot Programmable Automation Computer (PAC) with Intel Atom CPU

Advantech’s Industrial Automation Group has released a new model to their family of ADAM products, the ADAM-5560.  The ADAM-5560 has been designed to be the most flexible PAC/PLC for control tasks which require an industrial PCs performance and PLC robustness. 
The help System Integrators develop applications for their customers; the ADAM-5560 comes with an Intel Atom 1.1GHz processor and supports Microsoft Visual Studio.Net programming, providing a complete set of development tools.  
For PLC solutions, the ADAM-5560 supports Multiprog KW and five IEC-61131-3 programming languages, two textual languages (Instruction List and Structured Text), two graphical languages (Ladder Diagram and Function Block Diagram), plus Sequential Function Chart. 
The ADAM-5560 includes an integrated VGA port making this solution more cost effective by replacing the additional need for an HMI.  Simply connect a monitor to the ADAM-5560 to have a PLC & HMI solution.  Any SCADA/HMI software that communicates via Modbus/TCP can be loaded onto the ADAM-5560 to communicate to the PLC making the ADAM-5560 a platform ready solution.
