The Rosemount 644 temperature transmitter features microprocessor and ease-of-use improvements, as well as a modular design that enables customized functionality at each process point. Features include:
Hot backup — ensures that if the primary sensor fails, a second sensor seamlessly takes over to prevent measurement failure.
Sensor drift alert — detects drifting sensor feedback and notifies the user.
Thermocouple degradation — monitors the health of the thermocouple loop.
Single- or dual-sensor Inputs including RTD, thermocouple, mV and Ohm.
Minimum and maximum tracking via software or diagnostic tools.
The 644 series transmitters are available in head and DIN rail mounting styles and are HART, FOUNDATION Fieldbus and Profibus PA compatible. The 644 is also now SIS SIL 2 certified to comply with IEC 61508.
